Minswap Community Reporting

Minswap will always be a community-driven organization. As such, our users and supporters are at the forefront of everything we do: guiding decisions, participating in the design, and helping direct and push our protocol forward as we make the transition to DAO governance over the coming year.

The recent outpouring of support and engagement from both the Cardano and greater crypto community has been humbling. Our appreciation is only surpassed by the sense of responsibility we feel to utilize our resources in an efficient and prudent manner. Transparency and inclusion will be at the foundation of how we allocate funds and direct resources.

Over the coming weeks, prior to the first CFP, we’ll have discussions and voting on what key spending parameters make sense for the community to vote on at this point. Due to the lack of sybil resistance on our governance forum at this time, we’ll gauge and take seriously community sentiment as voted on for our initial CFPs. Once sybil-resistant voting and further governance tools are launched the community will have more direct control over Minswap’s CFP. At that time, we’ll revisit and vote on the specifics of voting and possible veto power.

Due to the fact that current CFP funds reside in the development fund rather than the DAO treasury, the voting and governance they are subject to will not be completely community-controlled. However, we still believe in complete transparency and including the community in the decision-making process. Please be mindful that this is an iterative process. We look forward to building and growing with the community as we explore the best ways to advance collective decision-making.

Here is a general percentage breakdown of how we plan to spend our funds:
