Moral Development In Children

A child is not born with manners and knowledge of the world, it all depends on his learning. It’s not an easy job to build a whole child, we put all our forces to complete their education, ignoring the most important aspect of life. And this important aspect is the best of our inner side. Moral development is defined as a character building to understand the basic principles of how individuals should treat one another, with respect to justice, others’ welfare, and rights and well-being.

Education and goodness come together to build a good, strong and leading nation. If you are a parent or an educator do you think your duty towards your child ends with his/her learning of ABC? Your answer is “No”. Being a parent or teacher your journey is hard and tough you must know what is growing inside of your child, a sweet or bitter fruit? That will be tested by the outer world later.

Higher education/Academic development is nothing apart from moral development. Then it is all in vain if your child attains a seat, but doesn’t know:

Social learning/Moral development of a child is completed from a family or peers or teachers or coordinators or principals. Brutal or cruel behaviour is due to environmental factors, rather than being intrinsic. In fact, we can embed goodness at an early age. A mother or an educator is a great artist to leave a deep influence on young learners by her powerful acting. So it’s totally a matter of responsibility that we mostly ignore. You must observe the child (according to the below checklist) to detect what is in her/his mind? If any symptom appears, then it is alarming.

According to some psychologists, the most moral development occurs through social interaction. Schools play a major role to develop a whole child as he/she spends many hours in the school and interacts with teachers and other students.
